The Product

Concrete wheel stops, built and sold direct.

Concrete wheel stops are the precast units anchored at the head of a parking space to stop a vehicle's wheel before it reaches a walkway, a building, landscaping, or the next stall. You will also see them called parking stops, parking blocks, parking bumpers, car stops, or curb stops. They are the same product, and we manufacture all of it. If the naming is what brought you here, we cover every term this product goes by in what that concrete block in a parking space is called.

American Precast Concrete has been pouring them in Pomona, California since 1978. We ship roughly 7,300 wheel stops in a typical year to parking lots, distribution yards, retail centers, HOAs, schools, and municipal facilities across the country. Everything is made in our own plant, so you are buying from the people who cast it, not a reseller marking up someone else's product.

Car stops or truck stops? Start here.

The choice comes down to what drives over them.

Car wheel stops (CB-Series) handle passenger vehicles and light trucks: retail lots, office complexes, apartment communities, dealerships, and municipal parking. 4,500 PSI cylinder-tested concrete, two #4 steel rebar, in 4-, 6-, and 8-foot lengths at 105, 165, and 210 pounds. The 6-foot CB06 fits a standard commercial stall and is what most lots use.

Truck wheel stops (TB-Series) are built for loading docks, distribution yards, forklift traffic, and equipment areas. 6,000 PSI concrete, four #4 rebar, heavier anchor pins, and up to roughly 1,100 pounds per unit. If semis, trailers, or forklifts cross the stop, this is the one you want. Car-grade units do not survive that traffic.

Mixed lot with both standard parking and a dock? Tell us the vehicle traffic and we will spec each zone.

What buying direct actually changes.

No distributor markup
You pay the plant price, not a reseller's.
Specs for your submittal
Cylinder-tested compressive strength, documented reinforcement, spec sheets, and CAD/BIM files ready for plan review and bid packages.
Freight planned properly
These are dense and heavy, and a standard truckload holds only about 42 of the heavy-duty units. We quote freight against your actual jobsite instead of surprising you at delivery.
One supplier for repeat work
Contractors ordering 70 to 230 units a season get pricing built for a repeat buyer, not a one-off.

“Our old rubber stops were lasting maybe 2-3 years max under forklift traffic. We put in APC's heavy-duty truck stops at three loading docks - still perfect after 8 years. The upfront cost paid for itself pretty quickly just in avoided replacements.”
